viking

in my fantasy art stage, drawing dragons and warriors such as conan was the only thing i did. knights, swords and sorcery. this one i took pride in. in high school my favorite artist was boris vallejo. i took this from one of his artworks. i learned so much by trying to mimic his style. i never learned to painted but i tried to get the same effect with light and shadow...as closely as i could. i wasn't much for the background at that time....after 100 hours on the main subject and you're ready to sign it and put it in the portfolio, well i was anyway.
